FOUNDING WATCH PROJECT / RESEARCH 001
A watch shaped by
how careful buyers buy.
The Watch Ledger started by helping people judge watches. The next chapter is learning whether we can build one with the same discipline: proportionate, serviceable, fairly priced and specific enough to deserve a place in a collection.
THAT DOES NOT YET?
Three honest briefs.
One future direction.
These are research lanes, not finalized specifications. Your answers determine what deserves deeper design work.
Case diameter is only the start. Thickness, lug span, crown and bracelet taper must work together.
A movement should be supportable, documented and appropriate to the price—not chosen for a marketing adjective.
Familiar function is welcome. Borrowed identity is not. The watch needs a reason to exist beyond a logo.
The ceiling is a constraint from the beginning, not a surprise after the sample is finished.
