How much does it cost to sell a watch online?+
Platform fees vary. Chrono24 currently states a 6.5% private-seller commission after a completed sale. Shipping, insurance, payment, inspection, currency and tax costs can also change the net proceeds.
Why is a dealer offer below the expected selling price?+
A dealer offer must leave room for authentication, preparation, warranty, inventory time, returns, overhead and resale margin. Replace the calculator assumption with the written offer you actually receive.
Is consignment always the highest net?+
No. Consignment can improve proceeds but still includes commission, preparation costs, time, return exposure and the risk that the watch does not sell at the expected price.
Does this calculator value or appraise my watch?+
No. It models route economics from the expected sale price you enter. Use the model-specific price guide and a physical inspection to establish better price context.
Does The Watch Ledger buy watches?+
Not currently. The private Seller Desk can qualify the evidence and, only with owner consent, make a relevant partner introduction.
